|6 October 2007
IN an effort to pay tribute to senior citizens, the Guardian Pharmacy organised a fair themed Wellness for All at the Ikano Power Centre until Oct 1.
The fair was organised for Guardian's Golden Privilege members in conjunction with National Senior Citizens' Day, which was on Oct 1 as well.
The event aimed to create greater awareness on how senior citizens can pursue an active, fun-filled life. The company also contributed RM8,000 to the Malaysian Parkinson's Disease Association (MPDA).
Guardian chief operating officer Loi Liang Tok said the company believed in complementing the initiatives of the government in promoting healthy living for senior citizens. She said Malaysian aged 55 and above were eligible for the Golden Privilege Club where members received a 10% discount on pharmaceutical items, health supplements and other health-related products.
Also present at the event was MPDA president Sara Lew.
