Message From Our Life President - By Lloyd Tan (February 1999)
How are you feeling? Just fine I hope. Well, as this is the first time that I am writing in this new year of the Rabbit, permit me to say, although rather belated, "Happy New Year" to you all! Let us all put in our best for the Society. Let us all work towards the common good for not only ourselves, but also for the others who may not be members of our Society yet. I realize that we in Malaysia do not have the facilities and the means to do any kind of research work towards establishing a cure for Parkinson but by coming together as a group and exchanging whatever new items that we have obtained through our affiliation with Parkinson groups outside our country will certainly help us to stop the progression of the disease further or to slow down the debilitating effect of the disease.
I do not know how you feel but personally I feel that the more we are in number, the better will be our bargaining power. So, let us join the Society and make it an accountable one! Finally, do not ask what the Society can do for us but rather what we can do for the Society!
GOD's rich blessings be on you and all your loved ones.
Your Parkie friend,
Lloyd Tan Pao Chan
