|[back] FRIM NATURE TRAIL ... Sara Lew - 18 June 2008|
We're pleased to inform that we have made arrangement with FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia to conduct a "nature trail" for our members at its Kepong Botanical Garden.
The 80ha garden located next to the FRIM has incorporated a 400 m wheelchair-friendly cemented pathway called the Razak Walk to cater to the needs of the disabled community. There's also a wheelchair-friendly toilet located at the start of the trail.
Mr. Elango Valautham, Research Officer from FRIM will lead our group and provide public education on the flora and fauna in its ground. He's advised that the best way to enjoy the place is to do the nature trail on a small group basis, the maximum being 20 persons per group. As such, we have decided to organize this nature trial on a regular basis if the response is good.
The details of the trip are as follows:
THE COST IS RM10.00 PER PERSON (Inclusive of transport and lunch - Partly subsidized by MPDA)
THE TRIP IS LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM OF 20 PERSONS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. EACH MEMBER IS ENTITLED TO BRING ONE CAREGIVER/MAID ONLY. DEPARTURE IS FROM PARKINSON CENTER AT 8.45 AM SHARP. FOR THOSE WHO ARE UNABLE TO MAKE IT FOR THE OUTING THIS TIME, PLEASE DO NOT WORRY. WE WILL MAKE REGULAR TRIPS TO THIS PLACE IF THE RESPONSE IS GOOD.
PLEASE CONTACT OUR ADMINISTRATOR, MS. ROSE HOOI AT 03-79806685 OR MR. SIVARAMAN AT 012-6252597 FOR RESERVATION OF SEATS.
