Topic: Current Treatment Approaches in Parkinson's Disease
Speaker: Dr. Lim Shen Yang, M.D., MBBS (Aust), FRACP (Aust)

(Consultant Neurologist and Senior Lecturer, UMMC/UM)

We are pleased to inform that Dr. Lim Shen Yang was appointed as one of our Medical Advisors on 1st July 2009.

He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed 3.5 years of training in general Neurology at the Western and Royal Melbourne Hospitals. Dr. Lim also did a research doctorate (MD) degree in PD at the University of Melbourne.

He pursued a second Movement Disorders Fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada under the renowned expert, Dr. Anthony Lang. Dr. Lim's research during his fellowship years includes the investigation of the non-motor symptoms and extra-nigral features of PD, and subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation. He has made a number of first-author publications in prestigious medical journals and books on PD and other movement disorders.

Admission is free and light refreshment will be served.
